After getting its start in the latter half of 2013, this year Health 2.0 Seattle has ambitious plans to do even more to unify Seattle's various tech and health communities. To that end, this year's programming includes speakers and panelists from various industries all under the umbrella of a Health Tech Innovation Series.
This series will explore how technology can contribute meaningful solutions to the field of healthcare by bringing together leading professionals in Seattle’s life sciences, global health and technology landscapes. Experts will weigh in on how to navigate the hurdles of these in-flux industries, how to drive change within the community, and how to create products and tools of value in the marketplace.
Meetups will take place at Substantial HQ (900 E Pine, Suite #202) from 6-8pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (note the change from last year).
The first series topic is Identifying the Issues, and we'll be talking to notable executives in the field of life sciences and global health. We'll be hoping to share some of the greatest challenges and opportunities in these fields and how technology can help.
Our panelists include:
- Mary Kay O’Neil, Executive Medical Director, Regence BlueShield
- Brad Younggren, MD, FACEP Chief Medical Officer, Mobisante
- Rob Lin, Vice President of Finance, Infectious Disease Research Institute
The January Health 2.0 Seattle meetup will be held on January 21 at Substantial HQ from 6-8pm. The next meetup will be February 18.
